The triumphant synths and the steady beat of Monsieur Adi's remix of "I Was A Fool" combine to create the quintessential electro-pop song.

Reflect

The past is a frightening thing if you choose to dwell on it for too long. Frightening, but not bad. We rehash pieces of our past that hurt though we find a guilty pleasure in remembering. The same moments we rewind over and over yet we cannot seem to understand. The amazing thing about reflection is that it stimulates growth. Taking time to “think back” may be the key to moving forward. The NIN cover by Superhumanoids brings me that moment of reflection we all so desperately need now and then.

Mellow Monday

Sundays are usually a day for weekend recuperation but after some extended partying my Monday has been spent reviving with some melodic synths. Martin Brodin, Closed Paradise, Jai Paul as well as Elite Gymnastics are all able to capture the grit of the 70’s and 80’s, and fuse them with the contemporary sounds of soul, disco and deep house. Cassie’s “Numb” featuring Rick Ross will literally numb your mind with its sexy baseline as well as Polica’s new release “Tiff”. Whether winding down from a stressful day or taking time to recoup from the weekend, these tracks will soothe the Monday blues.

Jay-Z wants you to chill about his vacation

Jay-Z and Beyonce recently took a Cuban vacation that has stirred up some minor controversy. U.S. tourism to Cuba is officially illegal, but the couple was granted a license to travel for educational exchange. Today, Jay-Z fired back at the “controversy” by dropping a new track called “Open Letter.” In the song, Hov boasts that he could “turn Havana to Atlanta” and claims “Politicians never did shit for me / Except lie to me, distort history,” before proclaiming ”Want to give me jail time and a fine? / Fine, let me commit a real crime.”

Jay-z will be releasing an album sometime in the near future, but nothing has been officially announced.

Nothing can compare to the original Fleetwood Mac, "Rhiannon" but this is a great remix of a classic.
"About That Life" is a Diplo song that steers away from his typical, popular music. The last song is a Flume masterpiece; a young Sydney producer who started at age 13.
