Sundays are usually a day for weekend recuperation but after some extended partying my Monday has been spent reviving with some melodic synths. Martin Brodin, Closed Paradise, Jai Paul as well as Elite Gymnastics are all able to capture the grit of the 70’s and 80’s, and fuse them with the contemporary sounds of soul, disco and deep house. Jay-Z wants you to chill about his vacation

Jay-Z and Beyonce recently took a Cuban vacation that has stirred up some minor controversy. U.S. tourism to Cuba is officially illegal, but the couple was granted a license to travel for educational exchange. Today, Jay-Z fired back at the “controversy” by dropping a new track called “Open Letter.” In the song, Hov boasts that he could “turn Havana to Atlanta” and claims “Politicians never did shit for me / Except lie to me, distort history,” before proclaiming ”Want to give me jail time and a fine? / Fine, let me commit a real crime.”

Jay-z will be releasing an album sometime in the near future, but nothing has been officially announced.
