The Brits & PMR Records
PRM Records is a London based music label that represents some of the best DJs and artists in the U.K. The label was founded in January 2011 with the “funky house” DJ Julio Bashmore. Since then they have grown into a label of 7 artists who continue to release “forward thinking pop music in a completely non-flashy way.” Here is a sampler of some of the talent they now represent, which includes the great Disclosure, T.Williams, and Jessie Ware.

GORGON CITY
Gorgon City is the new collaboration of two British DJs Foamo and RackNRuin. Their combination of unique techniques create a massive, refined sound. They have recently released "Real" featuring Yasmin, who is another favorite DJ singer-songwriter from the U.K. Get to know them before they blow up!

Paris 96
Paris 96 is great collaboration of two Brooklyn rappers, Theophilus London and James Boykins III. Their single “Afternoon” is a seductive song that brings together smooth electronic sounds and hip-hop.

Little Boots - "Motorway"
Little Boots just released her music video for “Motorway”, a song off her highly anticipated album, Nocturnes. The video features strange black and white visuals of front girl Victoria Christina Hesketh; nonetheless her perfect, angelic vocals and instrumental beats throughout this song, all give me a good feeling about the rest of her album.

Alabama Shakes
From touring with Jack White to performing at the Grammy’s and more recently on Saturday Night Live, the Alabama Shakes have made their mark on the southern rock scene. This chill electro-pop project of Corrin Roddick and Megan James, Purity Ring began when the two were in Canadian indie rock act Gobble Gobble (which later became Born Gold). Their first song, "Ungirthed," arrived in January 2011 to critical acclaim, and Purity Ring eventually signed with 4AD Records. Shrines, their debut album, was released in July 2012. I also love this new Hood Internet Remix of Purity Ring and Frank Ocean.

If you don't know her by now, Sky Ferreira is an American singer/songwriter, model, and actress. She released her first EP "As If" in March 2011, which seems very mediocre compared to her 2nd EP "Ghost", released October 2012. My two favorites from "Ghost" will surely put you in a girly, love dream coma you won't want to wake up from.
